Terms of Use & End-User License Agreement

Last updated: 2 July 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Klavia app (“the app”), published by Catloop (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial music practice, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store / Google Play Terms of Service.

2. Your content and rights (important)

Klavia is a tool for practicing sheet music that YOU already own or have the right to use. You may only import, scan, photograph, or convert sheet music that:

  • you own or have purchased, or
  • is in the public domain, or
  • you otherwise have the copyright owner’s permission to use.

You are solely responsible for the material you import and for ensuring you have the necessary rights. You must not use the app to copy, distribute, or otherwise infringe anyone’s copyright.

Klavia does not provide, sell, host, or bundle any copyrighted sheet music. All content is supplied by you. We do not gain any ownership of the material you import; it stays yours and, where applicable, its rights holders’.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, including by uploading unlawful content, attempting to breach or overload our services, or reverse-engineering the app except as permitted by law.

4. Recognition accuracy

Converting a photo or PDF into notation (optical music recognition) is not perfect and may contain errors. The app is provided for practice assistance and you should verify results against your original sheet music.

5. Copyright complaints & takedown

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content or functionality infringes your rights, contact us at contact(at)klavia-piano.com with details, and we will respond to valid requests.

6. Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

8. Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the app. We may suspend or terminate the license if you breach them; you may stop using and delete the app at any time.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The “Last updated” date reflects the current version.
